A carved Blackforest Bear Bench in oak wood. Modelled as a pair of standing bears with painted open jaws and glass eyes, supporting the bench seat with their front paws. The back pierced and carved in relief with a single bear in the middle holding out his arms and scrolling branches on either side.
A charming and whimsical example of exceptional Black Forest design and craft.
Measurements: 81 cm (H); x 150 cm (W); 36 cm (D).
