A large-sized, glazed earthenware 'dragon' deep fishbowl (republic period).
The interior with a celadon-tinged glaze, the exterior painted hues of brown, mustard and treacle with a pair of five-clawed dragons depicted writhing amidst clouds and flame-scroll in pursuit of a flaming pearl. The ferocious features, scaly bodies and sharp claws finely picked out with deftly incised lines.
Measurements: 54 cm (diameter).
