A unique and large size antique majolica elephant form jardinière by Delphin Massier. Circa: 19th Century.
The polychrome naturalistically modeled elephant supporting a hexagonal howdah-form vase polychrome jardinière painted in the art nouveau style with fishes on the eirhger side on a colorful tasseled saddle blanket. The howdah interior incised: Delphin Massier, Vallauris.
Measurements: 45 cm (L).
