An exquisite pair of antique French ormolu three-light candelabra, crafted in the elegant Louis XVI style during the late 18th or early 19th century, after a celebrated model by renowned bronzier François Rémond (ca. 1747–1812).
Each features a classically draped maiden holding aloft naturalistic carnation branches with flowers and buds; mounted on cylindrical white marble plinths adorned with gilt-bronze swags and mounts. The pair is draws heavily from ancient Greek and Roman motifs, emphasizing symmetry, classical drapery, and naturalistic elements like the floral branches.
