Item Description & Information

A Samuel Alcock & Co hexagonal shape ironstone China jar and cover (circa: 1826-59). The main body of the vase is elegant and curvaceous, flaring at the top. Two highly decorative, scrolled handles in the form of dragon face masks ascend from the shoulders of the vase. Richly decorated in the Chinoiserie/Imari colour palette and style with exotic birds (most likely peacocks) amongst flowering trees and foliage. Impressed Alcocks Indian Ironstone. 

Can you be used to make a fabulous decorative lampbase.
